Acrylic Nails, DYI and Information!

Acrylic Nails DIY Do it Yourself and Information on Artificial nails, how to apply and remove artificial nails. Advices for manicure and acrylic nails.

very important information!

I used a nail glue to apply my artificial nails but it was a different brand than the nail product itself. Now, I can’t get the artificial nails to come off. What do I do?

In most instances the brand of nail glue used shouldn’t matter. However, in a few there is a strange interaction between the acrylic nails and the glue. Usually, it results in nails that won’t stay on rather than ones that won’t come off. However, either problem is possible.

Try soaking your nails in acetone nail polish remover for five to 10 minutes; no longer than 15. Make sure to work the solution in underneath the nails as much as possible. The nails and glue should soften sufficiently to allow nail removal even if they peel away in sections rather than in a single piece. If that doesn’t work, however, you may have to use pure acetone, which is much harsher to skin and cuticles.

Remember: the only safe way to remove arcylics nails is to soak them off.

Some nail salons have horribly practices in the interest of saving time.  For example some salons will use a fake nail to get under and remove the acrylic nail. This is painful and can seriously damage your nail bed and injure your finger!

After removing the acrylic nails, a manicure with oil and massage and you go.
